DESCRIPTION OF STING RAY

You pilot the sting ray class fighter. It is designed for long ranged combat .

The arrow keys move your ship. The SHIFT key fires your main guns. When you are on a world, the CTRL key fires air-to-ground missiles. Some targets can only be hit by them.

Avoid the enemy and their fire. Bosses that can be hit directly MUST to avoided at all costs. Some bosses have guns on them, you can fly over these bosses. But, you must shoot their guns off in order to destroy them.

Your score is shown on the upper right side of the screen. Just below your score is a colored bar. As you travel through a round, the bar gets shorter. The shorter it is, the closer you are to finishing that round.

On the upper left side of the screen is the display for the number of lives that you have left. Below that, is your shield display. It turn green, then yellow, then red, the more damaged you are.

When fighting bosses, there is a circle below your shield display that gets emptied as you damage the boss. This circle displays the shield and hull strength of that star ship.
